Okay, so this will be my scratch area for an engine I got from the PNW with semi low miles. The head looks straight. The pistons look clean, I can see the cross hatches in the cylinder bores. It's a good low-mile TDI engine that wasn't abused.

The intended purpose of this engine is another mTDI build for the future Gold hightop van. This build will be similar to the UserWiki:Wpool Betsy Bertha build, but version 2.0.

This time I'm making changes, updates, etc from a 250k+ miles learned.

On Fence. I hear it's worth it more for higher RPM's where the abuse happens 5k+. Then again, I hear of other's blowing stock rods at power under 200HP. There's also the age (not so much with this engine) of older rods weakening over time I read. With how hard these engines are getting, it's almost like a proactive suggestion.

Modifications

Mild Porting

Complete go over & Mild port of the cylinder head from Frank's TDI's.

Implementing ALH CCV mod

Blocking the side of engine oil passage for the CCV tube. Piping the hockey puck to the Provent 200.
